Netflix released the much awaited reunion special for the sixth season of Love Is Blind on Wednesday night, following a season that concluded with just two couples reaching the altar and one pair saying “yes.”
In an episode hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey, the group of season six got back together in person, including Laura, who joined by satellite from Barcelona, and Amber Desiree, aka “AD,” Amy, Brittany, Chelsea, Jessica, Sarah Ann, Clay, Jeramey, Jimmy, Johnny, Kenneth, and Trevor. Former cast members Micah, Izzy, and Gianna (Gigi) were there in the audience, as were some of the series’ earlier success stories, including Brett and Tiffany, Chelsea and Kwame, Alexa and Brennon, and Colleen and Matt.
The first significant announcement of the evening came from Gigi, who revealed that she was having her first child with Blake, her current partner. Additionally, Amy and Johnny—the only married couple this season—arrived clutching hands just as steadfastly as they had done the whole season. However, during the program, there were several far less joyful surprises to discover. The biggest revelations regarding the Love Is Blind season 6 reunion cast are listed below.
Sarah Ann and Jeramey
He claimed to have only been speaking with Sarah Ann, another cast member he’d bonded with in the pods, and at the end of episode nine, Jeramey returned home, ending Laura and Jeramey’s engagement. In the ensuing episode, during a lake party with the cast, Jeramey and Sarah Ann rode out into the sunset on jet skis together, sparking their reunion. Sarah Ann had written Jeramey a direct message while he was still engaged, expressing her desire to meet him. Sarah Ann said to Nick, “We live together; we’ve been dating for almost a year,” as she and the rest of the season six cast went on stage.
But there were other relationships Jeramey had to account to besides his status with Sarah Ann. He responded, “It’s not true,” to a query regarding a woman on social media whose mother said they were engaged when he was on the show. True enough, I was once engaged. That was something that everyone I dated knew. Once I was independent and doing my own thing, I sold my house and went ahead and applied for the show.
Because Sarah Ann made inappropriate contact with Jeramey, Laura and Jessica called her to task for not being a “girl’s girl” and for “making a mockery” of their engagement. Sarah Ann was put through her own interrogation. After Sarah Ann’s eventual apology to Laura, Jeramey accepted the responsibility for his acts that his former fiancé had been demanding.
Trevor
Another cast member who was held accountable was Trevor, who was dating in the pods and was supposedly involved in a relationship outside of it. Trevor seemed embarrassed when confronted with screenshots of text messages he had sent to the woman declaring his love and intention to marry her.
He admitted, “I guess I’ll start by saying that I was not dating her technically, like I never said, ‘Will you be my girlfriend?’ before the show started but, obviously, we were close.” I had previously told her, “I want to go on this to try to experiment with something else,” and she was the kind of person I would typically go for in real life.
“There’s no justifying it,” Trevor subsequently said, acknowledging that his behavior had been “toxic.” It was my intention to accomplish this. In life, I wouldn’t go for the person I wanted to meet.
After seeing Trevor in the pods, Chelsea, who had a strong bond with him, accepted the news with grace, pointing out that she had always known why she hadn’t chosen him from the start.
Clay and AD
In the last Love Is Blind episode, Clay and AD made it to their wedding day. However, when AD said “yes” to being married, Clay startled her by telling her he wasn’t prepared for marriage.
When Nick asked Clay whether he would have done anything differently, he admitted that he had been seeing a therapist since being on the program and said, “I couldn’t get out of my own way.” I just kept telling myself, “I’m not the guy that deserves love and marriage,” when I looked in the mirror, and AD was there to support me. Sincerely, she is the love of my life, but I’ll be honest with you—I did err by turning down her advances at the altar.
