In the United Kingdom, Kate Middleton is surrounded by affection on Mother’s Day.
As she continues to heal from stomach surgery, the 42-year-old Princess of Wales has made an appearance in a new portrait while being feted by Prince William and their three children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5.
Kate is seen grinning in the picture, which was shot at the family’s Windsor residence a few days ago by William, 41, with her kids at her side. It is the first official photo of Kate that has been made public after her January 16 abdominal surgery.
Princess Kate sent a note with the picture, expressing gratitude to the people for their unwavering support and wishing other families a happy Mother’s Day.
“I am grateful for all of your well wishes and unwavering support throughout the previous two months. Kate ended the post with a C and wished a happy Mother’s Day to all of her followers.
George is seen encircling the happy princess with his arms wrapped around her from behind as she sits on a chair with her three kids gathered around her.
Additionally, William has never before had a family photo published. Photographing precious moments with her family, Kate is usually the one in front of the camera.
Mother’s Day was celebrated soon after Princess Kate made her first public appearance following her surgery on March 4 when she was seen in a vehicle with her 69-year-old mother, Carole Middleton, close to her Windsor residence. Since December 25, this was the first time she had been seen in public.
Her prior day’s stomach surgery was disclosed by the palace on January 17. People know it wasn’t cancer, even if the exact problem that required the treatment hasn’t been disclosed.
After recovering for thirteen days at the London Clinic, Princess Kate returned home. She won’t be taking up public responsibilities again until at least Easter, according to the royal residence.
“The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate,” her Kensington Palace office stated at the time of the procedure. In the statement, it was said that she hoped the public would recognize her intention to keep her children’s lives as normal as possible and to keep her private medical records.
“Kensington Palace will, therefore, only provide updates on Her Royal Highness’ progress when there is significant new information to share.”
The 42-year-old Princess of Wales “continues to be doing well” in her recuperation, according to the palace’s brief statement, and she was recently spotted in a car with her mother. However, one royal source characterizes the general lack of information as total “radio silence” on her status.
