BOSTON – Over the weekend, Rajon Rondo, the former point guard for the Celtics, was taken into custody in Indiana on many accusations, including marijuana and handgun possession.
In 2022, a Louisville lady requested an emergency protection order against Rondo after claiming that he had endangered her life. This was just one of the many legal run-ins that the two-time NBA champion has had.
After attending therapy, an anger management class, and a mental health exam, Rondo had that order revoked a year later.
A five-month period passed after the same woman requested an emergency protection order against Rondo in March of last year.
After Rondo was arrested, a family member was given custody of the youngster who was in the car with him.
Although a date has not yet been determined, Rondo is anticipated to appear in Jackson County Superior Court.
In addition to winning a second ring with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020, Rondo assisted the Celtics in their 2008 NBA championship. During his NBA career, Rondo played for the Dallas Mavericks, Sacramento Kings, Chicago Bulls, New Orleans Pelicans, Atlanta Hawks, Los Angeles Clippers, and Cleveland Cavaliers. He was a four-time All-Star, all with Boston. He last participated in an NBA game with Cleveland in 2021–2022.
